Music Ministries

Our band and song­sters (choir), as well as var­i­ous vocal and instru­men­tal soloists, pro­vide music for wor­ship each Sun­day. They also par­tic­i­pate in reg­u­lar concerts.

York­min­ster Citadel Band

The York­min­ster Citadel Band (Band­mas­ter Greg Colley)

The York­min­ster Citadel Senior Band pro­vides music for wor­ship and out­reach min­istry, and takes part in reg­u­lar praise ser­vices. The band par­tic­i­pates in con­certs at Thanks­giv­ing, Christ­mas, and at other times of the year. Its play­ing is enjoyed out­side of York­min­ster at com­mu­nity events and churches. At Christ­mas the carol play­ing of musi­cians from York­min­ster Citadel Band delights the shop­pers at York­dale Mall.

York­min­ster Citadel Song­sters (Song­ster Leader Donna Col­ley)

In addi­tion to their weekly con­tri­bu­tion to wor­ship ser­vices the Song­sters are an inte­gral part of the min­istry. They bring musi­cal bless­ings to the Toronto Grace Hos­pi­tal and the Meighen Retire­ment Res­i­dence each month, and over the Christ­mas sea­son they sing at the York­min­ster Com­mu­nity Christ­mas Con­cert and to shop­pers and employ­ees in York­dale Mall at The Sal­va­tion Army’s Christ­mas Kettles.

Their most recent CD (The Lord Is My Light) has been a rich source of bless­ing to many.
